Description Paul Fessler 2008-02-02 10:16:17 UTC
Not sure if this is command line interface or Squeezecenter issue.
I have my flac files on an Infrant NV+, before i tried SC7, I used OrangeCd to queue and play songs on the Squyeezebox.
Since the upgrade to SC7, I can no longer queue up or play songs, entered a bug with firetongue and it seems from their end SC7 does not understand Windows UNC paths.

Here are the symptoms: If i have a song playing and I open OrangeCD, and select a song and issue the play this song command from OrangeCD, SC7 clears the queue but never plays the song.

Maybe this would be a clue as well, if I rip a new album to the NAS drive and use SC7 to read the music folder, ( albums organized by artist folder/Album folder/title.flac) - SC7 does not read the flac files from the artist folder, also if its a two CD album and I try to queue or play the album from the music library (Artist/Album/CD1/title ) the LCD shows the path but doesn t load the album unless I go to the CD1 or CD2 folder)

Paul: Have you contacted the FireTongue folks about this issue?
Comment 3 Michael Herger 2008-02-04 00:57:29 UTC
Have you tried using forward instead of back-slashes? eg. //server/share/folder instead of \\server\share\folder? This should work just fine.

Seems to be working for me:

67%3A1d%3A9b%3Abb%3Aa2%3A85 playlist play //lappi2/Musig/Beck/Mutations/01%20-%20Cold%20brains.mp3
67%3A1d%3A9b%3Abb%3Aa2%3A85 playlist play %2F%2Flappi2%2FMusig%2FBeck%2FMutations%2F01%20-%20Cold%20brains.mp3

Started playing that song right away. There's very likely a problem with your application encoding the file path.

Paul:

Can you please retest this with SqueezeCenter Version: 7.0 - 17793 [http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html]

Let us know if you still have this issue.
