Description Philip Meyer 2004-11-27 08:42:30 UTC
m3u files can contain a list of urls, without any #EXTINF definitions. If
this is the case, Slimserver currently sets the title of the track to the url.

I was wondering if Slimserver could tidy the title up, if there is no specific
title gathered from the file info. For example:
Url: http://eer-music.com/WEER/AMBIENT BLISS/SeaofBliss DonSlepian.mp3

could be reported with a title of "SeaofBilss DonSlepian".

In what I presume is a related matter, I've noticed that m3u files can be
additionally interpreted in a funny way; Here's some of an example m3u I have:

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1,55_SETI_Termination_Shock
///mnt/win2/My Music/slowandlo/Dark Duck/55_SETI_Termination_Shock.mp3
///mnt/win2/My Music/slowandlo/Dark Duck/54_ESA_RUOHO_ll021002.mp3
///mnt/win2/My Music/slowandlo/Dark
Duck/experimental-drone-project-january-2004///mnt/win2/My Music/slowandlo/Dark
Duck/52_EMBRACING_THE_GLASS_Radiation_Genera///mnt/win2/My Music/slowandlo/Dark
Duck/51_STEPHEN_PHILIPS_Drone_13.mp3
///mnt/win2/My Music/slowandlo/Dark Duck/IGNEOUS_FLAME_Beyond.mp3
///mnt/win2/My Music/slowandlo/Dark
Duck/50_BRANNAN_LANE_BL-untitled-drone-2.mp3///mnt/win2/My Music/slowandlo/Dark
Duck/DARKENED_SOUL_DarkDrone1.mp3

...in slimserver, each of these files is given and Artist of "Beastie Boys" and
an Album of "Ill Communication." I have no idea where that info comes from...

Chip: I think that you are reporting a separate issue. Can you try with the latest nightly release and see
if the problem is still there and if so, submit a separate bug?

Routine bug db maintenance; removing old versions which cause confusion. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Dean doesn't work here any more :)
