Description Blackketter Dean 2008-01-31 21:54:51 UTC
See the post below. I think we need to add a "Forget this network" even on the current network.

From the forums:

I just received my new remote and SBR. I started up the remote for the
first time, and it asked me to choose a language etc. and then setup
networking. At the moment I have 128 bit WEP security (don't ask why -
long story), which means entering lots of numbers (since you have to
enter in hex and not ascii). Apparently I made a mistake, because the
jive didn't connect to the network (at least I think it didn't).
However it thinks it has - my network has a check mark next to it when
I look at the list of available networks. All I can do is select it,
and then it asks me to choose a squeezebox - but none show up in the
list (I think because the jive isn't actually connected). It seems to
be impossible to access any useful menu, so I'm stuck.

Taking out the battery and restarting didn't help; neither did
restarting with volume up held down.

also note user tried holding "+" key down while booting, and says that also failed to give him the opportunity to re-enter his WEP key.

could this be an already-solved problem that exists in the MP firmware? He mentions a new remote, so clearly this was running older firmware when he went through this...

True, we won't be able to fix this for MP, but we should address it...
Comment 3 Richard Titmuss 2008-02-04 06:32:38 UTC
Added "Forget this network" at the bottom of the network information for the currently selected network in r1777.

This bug has recently been fixed in the latest release of SqueezeCenter 7.0.1

Please try that version, if you still see the error, then reopen this bug.
