Description Michael Herger 2008-01-31 08:39:19 UTC
Wanted to play the various natural sounds and effects. Some of the would first play, but after some skipping around wouldn't play any more (eg. Robins). Others would never play (Horse Whinny). Some get stuck buffering (Bubbles 73%, Horse Whinny 56% - repetable).

Ray rebooted on some of them (Whinny), SB3 didn't.
Comment 1 Andy Grundman 2008-01-31 08:43:23 UTC
Fixed in change 17034.
Comment 2 Michael Herger 2008-01-31 09:03:11 UTC
The buffering might be fixed, but some of the streams still wouldn't play reliably. This time testing even the SB3 would reboot. Is this rather a firmware issue?
Comment 3 Andy Grundman 2008-01-31 09:03:44 UTC
Which ones don't play properly?
Comment 4 Michael Herger 2008-01-31 23:22:21 UTC
Should have updated my SC yesterday. My alarm went off this morning with Bubbles or Horse Whinny or whatever got stuck and didn't give any sound...

Will test again at the office, but seems fixed on my home laptop.
Comment 5 Michael Herger 2008-02-01 01:49:57 UTC
Ray still wouldn't play reliably. As described initially, some would play, but only play once (Bubbles, Rain, Fire... most of them), and others don't play at all (Whinny)

Don't know whether this is a SC or firmware issue?
Comment 6 Michael Herger 2008-02-01 02:04:05 UTC
I see the same behaviour when playing those sounds from SN HW beta.
Comment 7 Blackketter Dean 2008-02-01 10:59:37 UTC
Is this Ray specific?

Felix, can you take a look at this?
Comment 8 Felix Mueller 2008-02-01 12:13:28 UTC
I don't think it is Ray specific as Michael has seen it on SBs and Rays. I also have seen it before Andy's fix. But when I tried today on SB2 (fw 86) and Ray (fw 21) it was ok. SC is rev 17089 using SN.
Comment 9 Blackketter Dean 2008-02-01 17:40:59 UTC
So, is this a bug for Andy?
Comment 10 Blackketter Dean 2008-02-01 20:53:18 UTC
Or do we believe that this is fixed?
Comment 11 Andy Grundman 2008-02-02 08:19:24 UTC
It's fixed.
