Description Stein David 2008-01-30 13:13:48 UTC
I spent some time at a coffee shop in San Francisco for reasons that I won't describe here. :) I tried my jive (note the coffee shop was a street level shop with some apartments above) and it found 42+ access points and the UI became VERY VERY SLOW.

The current sort by alphabetical order is fine for a few access points but becomes a serious problem when a new one is added to a long list; the your menu keeps inserting and "jumping about". I unable to keep highlighted on access point as new one were added to the list.

Perhaps the Access Point list could be sorted by Access Point power level so that you have a good chance of quickly finding your own.

I don't have time to complete this for 7.1.

I'll try to look at this next time i'm in MV if I have time. Not enough APs here to test!
Comment 3 Richard Titmuss 2008-10-30 04:40:40 UTC
This won't make 7.3.

QA to retest when 8.0 firmware for Controller is ready.

This has to be resolved with 6038, wouldn't we notice this here in Mountain View?

Dave we may need you to head back to your coffee shop. :)
