Description quiet.dragon 2008-01-29 17:32:57 UTC
I have my SB3 connected by wireless. I have the SB3 set to resume the previous track when
reconnected. The display is set to use an RSS screen saver after 30 secs when playing.

I usually have the SB3 on Random Song Mix or Random Album Mix playing my library of FLAC
music.

If a track is playing and I turn off the SB3, then turn it back on, the track continues
where it left off.

Should network connectivity be interrupted (say by the microwave oven) whilst a track
is playing, the SB3 display will go blank, then resume when connectivity returns. The
display returns to scrolling the RSS feeds, and the track continues where it left off.

If the network outage exceeds about 1 min (say heating up lunch!) the SB3 display returns
to scrolling the RSS feeds, but track play does *not* resume. If I press the Power button
on the remote to turn off the SB3, then turn it back on, the track resumes immediately.

The fact that the RSS feeds are scrolling indicates that the SB3 has regained connectivity
to the SlimServer.

Streaming and playing of FLAC should also recover without me having to press the Power button.

Thanks, Earl.

Earl:

1) Which version of SC are you using?
2) Have you been able to replicate this with the daily builds of 7.0.1
3) How do you have Power On Resume set?

Michael has asked me to upgrade to the latest overnight to look at:

https://bugs-archive.lyrion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6689

I'll do so, and report back to you.

I'm currently seeing this on an overnight just prior to the official 7.0 release.

Yes, I do have Power On Resume set.

Note that this behaviour is worse when streaming from online streams than from a local FLAC server. For example, KPLU.

I'll send more details shortly.

Any update, Earl?

Andy notes that the 15 second player-forget code may be part of this issue.

Ping Earl. Any update?

Working on deploying the nightly build tonight. I'll have an update by Friday.

Unable to replicate this issue with SC 7.0.1.

Please test with that version (now that it has been released) if you still see the issue, then reopen this bug with added details.

Reduce number of active targets for SC
