Description Mark Miksis 2008-01-29 10:23:56 UTC
It's well known that the version of SS in the official Debian Universe is 6.3.0. Despite the instructions on the SD wiki, user's still mistakenly install this version when trying to install the one from the SD Debian repo. IMO, the best course of action is to request that Debian remove the package. I don't know the procedure for this, but hopefully someone else does...

I agree, but we have no control over that repo.

Relates to bug 5509, thanks Fletch.
Comment 3 Mark Miksis 2008-01-30 09:27:29 UTC
According to the changelog, the Debian package maintainer is (or was) Simon Kelley <simon@thekelleys.org.uk>. Maybe someone with an SD email address should contact him and request that it be either updated or removed.

Thanks again Fletch I sent a note to Simon.
