Description ndijulio 2008-01-28 19:20:30 UTC
The artwork and progress text should be anchored to the bottom of the screen. In cases, where the server cannot display all lines of text:

1. Artwork remains in same location relative to bottom of screen
2. Song progress/time elapsed remains in same location relative to album artwork
3. Drop down menu background can resize to fit amount of info displayed, independent of artwork
-3 lines of text [standard height]
    -2 lines of text [resize]
    -1 line of text [resize]

Please see attached artwork for reference.

The treatment is the same for the Now Playing screen. The album artwork and song progress/elapsed time should be referenced relative to the status bar background.

wiping priority field in 7.1 target bugs, as the priorities that were set as 7.0 target bugs are not relevant here.

screenshot of skinning issue

I'm having a frustrating time trying to resolve this bug...it seems that when I set the artwork to have a position of LAYOUT_SOUTH, it does that, but it also moves the progress bar above the artwork, which is the opposite of what I want. I have not had any luck tweaking the skin parameters to reverse that.

Richard might have insight on this, otherwise I'm afraid it might be a WONTFIX or a fix that won't happen until the skinning capabilities are reworked.
Comment 10 Ben Klaas 2008-06-19 21:11:17 UTC
assigning to Richard for comment. Punt it back to me if you think there's something obvious I'm overlooking.
Comment 11 Richard Titmuss 2008-06-26 00:32:31 UTC
I don't have time to complete this for 7.1.
Comment 12 Ben Klaas 2008-07-25 07:00:11 UTC
punting to 7.3
Comment 13 Richard Titmuss 2008-10-30 04:40:20 UTC
This won't make 7.3.
Comment 14 Richard Titmuss 2009-06-09 12:00:35 UTC
Noah you should recheck this after the new 8.0 Now Playing screens are available on the Controller, and assign to Ben if there is still a problem.
