Description Nick Loman 2004-11-25 10:55:47 UTC
Simply, a FLAC file (or, I would imagine, any non-native to Squeezebox music
type) in a directory which contains a '$' sign will not play on the Squeezebox.
Looking at the debug logs, the '$' sign is omitted from the command-line string
which is created to call the flac decoder, e.g. if the directory was 'Bo$$' and
the file was 'file.flac' then the flac decoder would get the following string
sent to it "Bo"\"file.flac" rather than "Bo$$"\"file.flac"

To reproduce, simply rename a directory with FLAC music files to '$', re-index,
and try to play any of the files within it on the SqueezeBox.

This has been fixed in both the 5.4 branch and 6.0 trunk in CVS.

The next nightly builds (1am PST on the 3rd of January) will have this fix.

There are 536 bugs in the database with targets of '---' that were fixed prior to new year 2006. I am setting them to targets of 6.2.1 to keep them from showing up in my queries.

Routine bug db maintenance; removing old versions which cause confusion. I apologize for the inconvenience.
