Description Blackketter Dean 2008-01-26 17:53:54 UTC
You should not be able to add a Slacker, Pandora or Rhapsody station to a playlist or have things added to a playlist that is playing one of these stations.

Andy, is this doable for 7.0?
Comment 1 Andy Grundman 2008-01-29 09:37:09 UTC
I don't think it's feasible to remove the '+' icon everywhere, so what's the user feedback if you try to add something to a playlist in this case?
Comment 2 Blackketter Dean 2008-01-29 22:16:54 UTC
It's not just the + icon, it's also the add button handler on Jive and the IR remote.
Comment 3 Chris Owens 2008-06-04 11:28:24 UTC
Dean, is this just because these stations are a 'dead end' in the playlist, and it's unintuitive how to move to the next station? (Alan says you can go 'down' and then 'skip' to move to the next station)
Comment 4 Blackketter Dean 2008-06-04 13:33:13 UTC
That's right. The Add icon/button handling is more confusing than anything. This is also true for any radio station, I think.

But I realize it's a big change that needs to be discussed. Punting to 7.2

Brian: you got an opinion?
Comment 5 Brian Dils 2008-06-09 12:16:28 UTC
Obviously I'm not sure how technically difficult this would be, but I think being able to add them would be a good experience. My only concern is for a Slacker station, for example, what happens when you press next? Next Slacker track or next item on you playlist? I'll do some thinking on this one....

I use this feature. Is it a bug? Please explain what you'd like to do with this.
