The brightness dims for a second then goes back to whatever it was before.

I just realized out what it really is.  If you change the powerOnBrightness via the web, if the player is actually idle and using idleBrightness, the display flashes to the powerOnBrightness value for a second before going back to the idle brightness.  So I think the web code needs to calculate whether or not the player is idle and set the idle brightness in that case.

change 16824 - even simpler: don't set the brightness manually. This call isn't needed.

This bug is being closed since it was resolved for a version which is now released!  Please download the new version of SqueezeCenter (formerly SlimServer) at http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html

If you are still seeing this bug, please re-open it and we will consider it for a future release.
