Description Felix Mueller 2008-01-22 07:09:52 UTC
I see something strange in SC7.0 regarding firmware up-/downgrade. I have an SB3 with fw 81, SC7 restarted. Upon connecting I am asked to press and hold brightness, upgrade is successful, SB3 is connected and fw is now 86. Now I connect to SN and force a downgrade to fw 81, when I now go back to SC7 I am not asked to upgrade! And even stranger if I press and hold brightness anyway I see the following debug output:

[08-01-22 15:49:44.1227] Slim::Player::Squeezebox2::upgradeFirmware (190) Warning: File does not exist: /home/fm/Slimserver/7.0/server/Firmware/squeezebox2_81.bin.

Restarting SC7 resolves the issue and I get asked again automatically if I want to upgrade.

According to Andy this is the issue: Cached the needsUpgrade bit and you reconnected before the old client object went away
