Description Fred 2008-01-22 03:26:46 UTC
Ray (initial HW rev, not sure it makes a difference) wirelessly connected plays audio normally for a couple of hours of a repeating playlist (we know the audio files are good), then starts to randomly stutters or change music tempo. Happens with aac or aiff songs. Seems to happen more when server CPU is loaded. Wireless congestion not an issue. Stopping and restarting play and/or slimserver fixes the problem (never had to restart Ray).

I know this is not very precise, but I am fishing for clues as to what the problem may be. No suspicious entry in the log.

Hey Fred, does a SB3 or TR show the same or is it only with Ray?
Comment 2 Blackketter Dean 2008-01-26 21:46:10 UTC
Could it also be an issue with the FLAC transcoding on the host side?
Comment 3 Blackketter Dean 2008-01-28 09:58:11 UTC
Fred: is this still an issue for you?

Ping Fred.

Not sure what to do here. I have a Ray running all the time, but didn't notice this so far.

Waiting on fred for additional information.
Comment 7 Fred 2008-01-29 11:04:39 UTC
Sorry for the delay. I have not been able to reproduce lately, I was also trying with a SB3 as Felix suggested. It did happen on AIFF and FLAC. It looks related to the server being too busy, but the funny thing is the Receiver never recovers. Will continue to keep an eye on.

Ok, please reopen if you can reproduce the issue.
