Description Ben Klaas 2008-01-21 07:26:45 UTC
from Patrick Dixon on forum thread http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=42489

"if you are connected to a player and turn it off, and then reboot Jive, Jive connects back up to the switched-off player and doesn't give the Choose Player option to switch to the one that's still on."

Additionally, the Now Playing menu item is non functional when the player is off.

See also bug 5705.

there have been a bunch of related fixes since this was posted, and from my testing I think this particular bug is not an issue any more. Please see also bug #6683, which under certain instances can cause Choose Player to not appear when it should.

there is a remaining issue with the Now Playing item not working when the player is off. That's bug 5705.

please reopen if you feel I'm in error with this assessment, but I think we're now handling the home menu sanely.
