Settings > Screen > Brightness

Slider. As you get towards the brightest point the screen suddenly goes dark. It recovers to it's proper intensity right at the end of the bar.

What firmware did you observe this with? I tried with r1474 and I'm not seeing this. Could you please update and try again?

I am running the latest firmware.
I have had the problem ever since I've had the remote.
Guess it might be a hardware issue then.

Possibly bad hardware, works fine on 4 units here for me I'll close this bug.

Beta units, specifically P7 have a hardware issue that give you a darker level at around 80%.  Production (P10) units do not have this issue....so I'm told :)
