I have looked at the network traffic using ngrep, it appears the SC stops sending the commands over json. This needs fixing for 7.0.

Richard - do you see this stopping to work or when jive connects you don't see the showbriefly popups?  Once jive is running have you seen them stop mid session?

I think theres a race when you reboot jive as to whether it has cleared the commet connection before you reconnect after a reboot/restart the app.

I think it normal stops after a while, of course it may be after a reconnection. Certainly tonight I was testing and I would see one or two right after starting Jive and then they stopped. On a couple of occasions they continued to work. Some race condition is likely.

I believe change 16204 is a fix for the loss of showbriefly after reconnect.

AFAICT, they aren't disappearing any more.

moving to RESOLVED. will reopen as necessary.

This bug has recently been fixed in the latest release of SqueezeCenter 7.0.1

Please try that version, if you still see the error, then reopen this bug.
