Description Me 2008-01-11 03:44:17 UTC
On upgrading from slimserver=7.0 to squeezecenter=7.0-16145 using apt-get, my slimserver settings and music library was not transfered to the squeezecenter.

7.0 -> 7.0 upgrades are not considered critical path, especially slimserver 7 as this was very much alpha stage.
If you can reproduce this, logs for prefs set to DEBUG would help to see if there were any problems finding/reading/writing prefs.

I don't think it even tried migrating the settings and music collection cache. Slimserver settings are in /etc/slimserver, while squeezecenter settings are in /etc/squeezecenter. The database folder is also in a different location.

This is a known issue with both the RPM and the deb. The consensus was that as long as prefs are imported on upgrades from any official 6.x release, that's sufficient. Users of nightly trunk builds can usually deal with these annoyances.

marking as wontfix as this is an known, expected issue. it's a one time hurdle. If there are problems beyond the stated known path, feel free to reopen.
