Description Greg Klanderman 2008-01-03 19:55:22 UTC
The player's title format is not used when in the player "Now Playing" mode for a Live365 stream. It seems to always be "TITLE by ARTIST from ALBUM".

Also, when you press the right arrow from "Now Playing" to get to the detailed information on the track, the "title" field shows the URL (http://.... version) rather than the song title (the live365://.... version already appears under "URL"). The "artist" and "album" fields are not populated. Additionally there should be a "station" attribute which should have the station name (see also bug 6529).
Comment 1 Michael Herger 2008-01-04 00:20:39 UTC
AFAIK the title is contained in the stream as is. It's not in different fields. Thus we could at best guess or assume where artist or title are, but we don't know it.

I'll leave this open for Andy to give a second opinion, but I doubt we can change this behaviour.

BTW: that's an issue with most radio stations out there, not only Live365.

This is the larger issue of "respect title format pref for remote metadata". Changing title and marking as enhancement. We provide discrete metadata now to the web and Jive so this should be possible with a little work.

I've noticed that MIS works as expected for the music services. It's just the standard screensaver that seems to default to "TITLE by ARTIST from ALBUM" regardless of my title format setting.
