Description Greg Klanderman 2007-12-31 11:04:19 UTC
in both the player interface and web interface, the Live365 "genres" menu should be organized hierarchically. The lines starting with "-" are sub-genres, and should be accessed by hitting the right button or selecting a main genre.

I remember why I didn't organize it that way, it was so you could click on "Alternative" and get all stations under Alternative. But I think it does make more sense to reorganize it, so I will do this:

Genres
  Alternative
    Britpop
    Classic Alternative
    ...
    All Alternative Stations

This has been fixed. You will need to delete your FileCache directory if you want to see this immediately.

thank you Andy, this is a huge improvement! My only suggestion is that it might be better to have the "All <genre> stations" item at the top rather than bottom of the list. Is that code in SN I guess?

Hmm, do you think it's more likely people will want to see all stations (a huge list) or a sub-genre? I would think sub-genre before all.

I guess I find the sub-genres somewhat random so I usually just go for the "All <genre> stations" unless I have a strong feel for which sub-genre the station might be classified in, so I prefer that at the top. Either way is fine, and a vast improvement over how it was!
