Does update is integrated in Apple software upgrade system? If there is frequent changes at least update and release note button would be nice to have. It could be also under web access page, like other links to slmdevices.

Apple's update system isn't open to third parties.  So SqueezeCenter has its own built-in update checker.  A notice will appear in the web UI when a new update is available.
