Description A Denevér 2007-12-29 06:09:14 UTC
There is direct streaming option for those items I tune in in my mac's web interface of slimserver.
That save bandwidth. In some case even though the radio buffer is skipping/flickring after closing down my macbook pro.

I found no options to download the playlist to Squeezebox. The radio stations works anyway with slimserver...

That would be nice to separate these tune in radios from itunes-mac handling, which require macbook or appleTv anyway.

At least some animation to squeezebox, when I press a remote button. Now play and power feels responseless. A blinking red for remote in the next version would do...

So I propose instead of connecting slimnetwork and slimserver separately, connect them both and hide these details to the end user. Whichever is available offer it from menu. Also Slimserver direct-(web)streamable options should be available offline, e.g. without slimserver

Thx.

ps.: Make the on the fly decoding on mac more easier, I think I installed lame(finder able to find and start it), but web interface says a note, that is not installed. I also not able to listen to AAC+ radios so far. (I installed the box yesterday)

Since you haven't specified version of slimserver, I'll assume that you haven't checked out SqueezeCenter 7 for the current level of SC/SN integration.

Please try out version 7 of SqueezeCenter.

Sure I do avoid beta version in an unknown source on a personal computer to avoid system instability. Please note, that download link for 7 is broken on a Macbook Pro under Firefox browser. It download, but it won't open from the downloads. Other dmgs worked for Firefox. Safari download of squeezecenter 7 interrupting 6.5.4 slimserver & squeezebox if safari is not in foreground. Slimserver replace is in progress...

I tried now. I have to reset my router. Music is played, but macbook and my desktop xp failed to connect to wlan AP, which they just browsed a minutes ago just fine...

If you connect beta network and use web interface on mac to play a station, that last request ignored and box remain in connect to beta state.

There is still two separate things and menus. Network beta and slimserver. That cause trouble to follow where I am for simple users like me.

The failed activation is a kind of joke... for S7, see the attached screenshot

M. Denever: are you still having issues with 7.x? If not, I would like to close this bug.
