Once the new yum repo is stable and running, it would be nice to add repos to support users of RPM-based non-yum distributions.  Specifically, YAST for SUSE and apt-RPM for ClarkConnect.  I've never done this, but it should be as simple as copying the RPMs to a new directory and running whatever tool creates the repository metadata.

There's no reason for this to be tied to a release and is probably something that can be looked into in "spare time" after 7.0 is out the door ;)

Closing for now. We're not likely to start actively supporting non-yum distributions of Linux (that use RPMs) in the near future. Will re-open this ticket when the time becomes appropriate.
