Description Steve Winegar 2007-12-19 12:29:16 UTC
Squeezecenter is on a multi-user WinXP machine. When I am logged in everything works fine. When I am not logged in the SB3 cannot connect to the server, nor can I connect to the server for control via the web interface from another machine. Same result with both 12/17 and 12/19 builds.

This isn't a bug, per se, just a problem that is going to be constantly brought up now that SqueezeCenter installs itself as a user program rather than as a Windows service.

To make it work on a multi-user machine you'll need to run SqueezeCenter as a Windows service. I think there's a program installed with SqueezeCenter called "Startup Manager" that you need to run. You should find it in the Start menu > Programs > SqueezeCenter program group.

Thanks Jim.

Oh, and it's documented in the Getting Started file displayed at the end of the installation.
