Couple of images attached. One that shows when viewing the album which looks
the right size to me - second when I click on a track to get more info about
it - image is clearly larger and blurred. This one is not the size of the
actual image???

Gordon,

Well, the cover art is adjustable in Server Settings -> Interface, you can
change the thumbnail size that we restrict to for thumbnails... As far as
the other image, that should be the native size of the image.

Don't know whether you can help me on this. My cover art is 200x200.
When I
click on an album title the cover comes up in 200x200, but if I click
on a track title to get more info it enlarges to about double the size
it and of course the image becomes blurry. How can I get it to
restrict the cover are displays to 200x200.

Regards
Gordon

it looks odd because its scaled. see help section for sizes.

the reasoning behind this is that some users would insist on using vvery large
images that would completely wipe out the browse or songinfo pages with a huge
image. Thus, the image is constrained. the drawback to this is that images
that are smaller, are scaled up which does look ugly. save from using some
complicated javascript, I know of no way to force only scaling down.

I suppose, one option could be to resize the album image from 200 to 300 pixels
wide (the same as the track image). this does then push the album list down,
which woudlnt' be my preference (hence how it looks right now). However, this
particular user would still need to provide larger artwork. If the user had
300x300 artwork as suggested in the help section, it wouldn't have a problem
with that scaling. I'll leave this as your call. I'll make it behanve however
you decide. I'm perfectly fine with having my own custom skin for my personal use.

One solution would be to allow users to choose a setting ( 0 x 0) that didn't scale at all and omitted the
size option from the HTML.
Comment 7 KDF 2004-10-31 12:39:28 UTC
yes, that is an option, and one that I have considered before. the show stopper
for me was the idea of having to then face requests to have settings for size on
every occasion where artwork appears. I feel that this falls into a feature of
the skin, really. different skins can preset artwork in different ways. if a
user follows the instructions in the help section, then they would have artwork
of 100x100 and 300x300. the skins would then work based on those specs.
changing the specs, is of course, perfectly doable. we can always lay out a new
set of rules and decide where sizing choices would be applicable and where not.

committed a fix 11/05. this now displays the artwork at the bottom of the page,
unscaled. had to move to the bottom so that large images dont move all the other
info off the screen.

There are 536 bugs in the database with targets of '---' that were fixed prior to new year 2006. I am setting them to targets of 6.2.1 to keep them from showing up in my queries.

Routine bug db maintenance; removing old versions which cause confusion. I apologize for the inconvenience.
