Description Simon Turner 2007-12-08 23:44:58 UTC
SqueezeCenter Version: 7.0 - 15094 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252

If you have a UNC path entered into either the Playlist or Music folder fields (Basic Settings) and then select Browse their will be multiple instances of the drive selected listed in UNC format (see attached). This is simple to reproduce.

Although the browser window only appears to list local and mapped drives by default it will list drives via UNC path if you've already entered the UNC path as the location of either your Playlists or Music. It will also list others drives by UNC path after you have browsed to them in Windows Explorer (but not before). This is not so easily reproducable and the behavious seems a bit random.

The behaviour appears the same whether running SC7 as a service or an application.

A new thread about this with screenshot:
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40931

Obviously this happens if there's an additional folder defined as in \\server\share\folder

change 15122 should prevent the looping by only expanding one level (up to the share) - could you please verify? Thanks!

I downloaded the windows compressed file and overlaid my existing installation. SC7 now reports itself as:
SqueezeCenter Version: 7.0 - 15101 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252

The problem is still the same.

You were too fast - the new build will only be available in about an hour or so. And I'd recommend using the Windows installer, as it handles startings/stopping services if needed.
Comment 6 Simon Turner 2007-12-10 07:03:15 UTC
Now using:
SqueezeCenter Version: 7.0 - 15125 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252
(i.e. post change 15122!)
And bug has gone.
Cheers.

thanks for the confirmation!
