Currently slimserver.log grows foreever. Either add a switch in commandline or 
just change the startup script to emtpy the log file

Arnon - is the startup script creating this logfile?

What platform?

I think this request is superceded by bug 1943, which requests some type of log rotation on all platforms.  Clearing the log at startup could be made one of the rotation option.
