Description Peter Ewerman 2007-11-29 09:55:59 UTC
When using Mozilla Firefox v2.0.0.10 the new default skin doesn't load properly. The Right side of the dual interface where the songs that are to be played doesn't show up. Insteed it just hangs. It says it's loading..., but the music is played as it should.

Concerning
Web Interface: Default

Tested on
System WinXp Sp2
SlimServer_trunk_v2007-11-28.exe and now SlimServer_trunk_v2007-11-29.exe

The first was installed in a new folder, not over a 6.5 server version. I did uninstalled the v6.5 version before I installed the SqueezeCenter v7.

After reading a few bug reports I tried the following also. Cleaned cache setting on mozilla, but no difference. Tried Opera v9.24 and Iexplorer v7.0.5730.11 they both didn't have this problem.

This came to the sever log when I added an album and started playing.
Server log:
[18:04:07.6984] Slim::Networking::Async::HTTP::_http_error (264) Error: [Error on HTTP socket: Bad file descriptor]
[18:04:07.7001] Slim::Networking::SqueezeNetwork::PrefSync::_syncDown_error (250) Sync Down failed: Error on HTTP socket: Bad file descriptor, will retry in 1592

There is also several errors in Mozilla Browser in the "Error Console" a lot with different declarations, but that exist in opera as well. Don't now how important all those are.

For example
http://127.0.0.1:9000/html/ext/resources/css/ext-all.css?r=15007 Rad: 2905

Finally using the Classic Web Interface the songs that are being played is showing correct!

Hope that this helps!
Peter

Please leave target undefined for new reports.

This is working fine on my system, as with many others. This should probably have gone to the forum first, as its far from a confirmed bug. It's more of a support issue at this point. As you have mentioned clearing the cache, that covers the usual first step. The log snippet shows nothing particularly relevant to the problem, seems imply related to SqueezeNetwork and these types of messages are common of late.

Are you blocking javascript? Do you have any Add-ons installed? If you have firebug add-on, that may have some useful output if there are any errors being reported in that console.

Do you have any anti-virus programmes installed?

Solved it with uninstalling most of my add-ons in Mozilla. Can't say which one gave me the problem. Didn't have to do with antivirus program, since I don't have it installed on this machine.

If you do start installing add-ons again, please let us know which one causes the problem. thanks.

recieved from the reporter:

"I been running pre 7 releases with the skin now called classic,
where I didn't have had this problem. The solution was to uninstall some of my add-ons. It did turn out that "ad-block plus" did hinder
the interface from functioning properly. Simple solution was to allow the server adress. Silly mistake, but I didn't make the connection that
the new interface was hindered by this add-on."
