Description Anoop Mehta 2007-11-26 17:31:55 UTC
The French language string for "Playing" is "En cours de Lecture" While this is a viable translation, at least on olver slimp3 players the text uses up all the real estate for the progress bar which is reduced to a useless 3 segments. I always edit the sting to "Lecture" in the strings.txt file every time that I download a new version, but it would be nice to have a shorter string as a standard feature.

Thanks,

B King

Instead of changing it with every update you should create a custom-strings.txt file in the same folder, copy the original over there and change it in this file (only the FR string). That file will be read after the main file, but not replaced on updates.

As for the main issue: thanks for the feedback. While SliMP3 clearly isn't a priority any more, I've been discussing this very topic with the translators only a few days ago. Feel free to add more comments about the French localization to this bug. We have seen similar issues with other languages (eg. German) on very recent hardware, too.

Anoop: can you please re-test this, to see if the issue is still valid?
