Description Joel 2004-10-05 23:18:50 UTC
Slimserver service stops randomly. An error was reported in the Application
Event Viewer at the time the service stopped. The source was "Application",
the Event number was 0. The following text is a partial listing from the
Application Event Viewer:

"The following information is part of the event: Can't use an undefined value
as a symbol reference at /PerlApp/Slim/Networking/Select.pm line 162."

this would be a result of the player unexpectedly being in a disconnected state.

check your wireless signal level, improving it may help.

Are you sure that this is version 5.3.1? The error indicates that this might be another version, since the
line mentioned doesn't make sense with that error.
Comment 3 Joel 2005-01-22 11:38:53 UTC
I'm not using a wireless connection - it's wired ethernet.

This appears to be fixed. Please verify and reopen if it's still an issue.

There are 536 bugs in the database with targets of '---' that were fixed prior to new year 2006. I am setting them to targets of 6.2.1 to keep them from showing up in my queries.

Routine bug db maintenance; removing old versions which cause confusion. I apologize for the inconvenience.
