Bugzilla – Bug 6105
Default skin: Big links in Small Artwork view
Last modified: 2008-12-18 11:12:53 UTC
@r14450. Both FF2 and IE6. In the Small Artwork view within the browse pane, when you click in the general gray highlighted area to the right of the actual text links for the Album, Year, or Artist, the links are extended horizontally across the entire area. Users would expect this to work the same as it does in the list view, with the general gray area always linking to the album.
Just noticed the same thing in the artwork view within the playlist. Seems clicking within the general highlighted area should either display track details in the browse pane or else play the track. Although to be honest, it might be best if it weren't clickable at all and the linked areas were specific to the cover thumb, text links and the control buttons.
I'm in favour of the text/art/controls links, rather than the whole highlight. A few accidental link triggers while simply trying to get focus for the page made up my mind :)
change 15464 - clicking the highlighter should now always trigger the default action (descending the hierarchy); the other links have to be clicked precisely. Feel free to re-open if needed. Thanks.
