Description ndijulio 2007-11-08 18:35:34 UTC
When the Now Playing screen is displaying the No Album Artwork Icon there is a drop shadow behind for the regular album art. The problem is that the regular artwork has 90degree corners and the Icon has radii. Is this a bug or can there be two different sets of drop shadows? My guess is that we will have to eliminate the shadow all together...

I will attach artwork of what the intended artwork should look like.

or include the drop shadow in the graphic.

I like the drop shadow and don't really want to remove it.

Also the drop shadow does not always look correct with some album art, as the size is not always the same. Can you please suggest the best way this can be fixed. I'll attach an example.

Could we make the album artwork drop shadow scalable? The ends and the corner would need to be separated out and the middle section could be sized accordingly...
Comment 7 Blackketter Dean 2007-12-27 09:37:45 UTC
We'd also need to fill in the shadowed area so that with rounded images you'd still see shadows behind. This would probably just need fill rectangle of the right transparency/brightness. Noah: can you attach?

Now Playing Screen-reference guideline

The guideline is based on the decision to remove the drop shadow. Please follow the space/alignment for the Now Playing screen.

The attached guideline is for the screen saver version of now playing without a drop shadow.

Ben, can you verify the spacing?

The right -0:00 song progress text appears mis-aligned. Please take a look at the attached guideline for the proper placement. It should be shifted to the right several pixels.

The song progress bar also appears to be too small in width. The artwork should be 8x154px.
Comment 13 Ben Klaas 2008-01-17 13:40:16 UTC
Elapsed + progress bar + Remaining will not fit on the screen for tracks > 9:59 in length unless the progress bar is squeezed a bit.

I have no solution for this.

Hi Ben,

Thank you for the quick repsonse. Can we move the left 0:00 in shifting the text to the right towards the progress bar? The left [+] and right [-] should be mirrored about the center of the screen. The spacing of the two relative to the song progress bar should be identical. If we cannot move the right then shift the left to compensate.

This bug has recently been fixed in the latest release of SqueezeCenter 7.0.1

Please try that version, if you still see the error, then reopen this bug.
