Hi.

Because of the enormous amount of music in my iTunes library, I divide the music using playlists in order to target music for day-to-day listening, party listening, etc. I also like to shuffle the songs during playback. The native shuffle feature in ITunes works great but is not useable via Slimserver. Silmserver, however, has its own shuffle feature, but for whatever  reason, it has never worked well. Songs from the same album play right after each other, certain albums are heard from more often than others, etc. So, my first request is that Shuffle be fixed, so it truly plays songs in random order.      

Alternately, one can use SlimServer's Random Mix. The huge drawback to this is that it is only available by genre. BUt when creating "party" playlists, mixed genres are almost always present. To play a random mix from one's entire iTunes library only by genre has a very limited practicality. So my alternate request is to re-configure the Random Mix to be used by playlist rather than genre (or in addition to genre).
