Bugzilla – Bug 6066
Installing new plugin resets enabled state of others
Last modified: 2008-12-18 11:12:53 UTC
Noticed on Linux, but I assume all platforms are affected. To reproduce: 1. Disable some plugins and restart squeezecenter 2. Add a new 3rd party plugin to Plugins/ and restart 3. Notice that all plugins are reset to enabled state It looks like plugin-data.yaml is being recreated and the old setting is being ignored.
This was originally reported as bug 5900, but for some reason the user marked it as solved (??).
Bug 5900 states that the enabled/disabled status is lost after upgrading SqueezeCenter. My bug is that the state is lost after installing a new plugin and restarting.
Andy says he will have a look.
Fletch - when updating, core plugins are new installed plugins if the install.xml timestamp is newer. Nothing was actually done to fix 5900; the user simply closed it.
FWIW, this bug occurs when removing a 3rd party plugin as well as when adding one.
Fixed in change 14556.
This bug is being closed since it was resolved for a version which is now released! Please download the new version of SqueezeCenter (formerly SlimServer) at http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html If you are still seeing this bug, please re-open it and we will consider it for a future release.
