when trying to power down the device, holding down the power button for 10 secs, the Screensaver should not activate.

with a soft off option, this is unlikely to remain an issue.  If software is locked, requiring the long hold for hardware reset, it's likely as a result of software lock so screensaver won't kick in anyway.

good point.  this may be invalid then.

I agree, this won't be valid when the software power off is implemented.
