Song information order inconsistent in playlist
Last modified: 2008-04-20 16:48:44 UTC
In the top player control panel, the order of song information displayed from top to bottom is TITLE, ARTIST, ALBUM, which is fine. In the playlist, the order is TITLE, ALBUM, ARTIST. Instead it should be the same as above. (I'm using TITLE rather than "DISC-TRACKNUM. TITLE" for Title Format). SC7 nightly 11/4 on Fedora 7 Firefox 2.0.0.9 on Mac OS 10.4.10

Created attachment 2355 [details] screenshot Wait a minute. Now it's not consistent on my system. :-) Just pointing out that the consistency will depend on the Title Format designated, since the order of the fields in the (full sized) status header is hard coded, while the playlist is not. FWIW, I think the previous order is more logical in the status header.
I'd like this reopened. Can the order of ARTIST and ALBUM in the Now Playing pane be made to reflect the order (set by preference) in the Playlist? I'm not sure what the default is, but (IMO) the default title display should be TITLE by ARTIST from ALBUM This seems to be more standard and handles tracks from compilation albums much better than TITLE from ALBUM by ARTIST The ALBUM isn't necessarily by ARTIST, but the TRACK is. My title string is set to this, so Now Playing and Playlist orders are inconsistent. Also, it's much more common in interfaces that the artist name is displayed more prominently and before the album name.
