Description Alice Shimmin 2004-10-01 23:57:34 UTC
I've seen the server completely hang IE no response via HTTP on port 9000, no
streaming and no navigation on the slimp3 possible. However, in the Windows
Services list it still claimed to be running. I had to stop and restart it.

I have this event in the event log:

The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Application ) cannot be found.
The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message
DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information
is part of the event: Undefined subroutine &PerlSvc::stopServer called at
slimserver.pl line 42.

are you sure this is with 5.3.1? That error event looks like something that was
supposedly fixed a while ago. Which exactly nightly are you using?
Comment 2 Alice Shimmin 2004-10-02 02:18:48 UTC
I'm using the standard 5.3.1 release as linked to by the DOWNLOAD link on
slimp3.com

Comment 3 Blackketter Dean 2004-10-04 07:28:38 UTC
The error is a red herring. What is happening to cause the server to hang? Can you reproduce it?
Comment 4 Blackketter Dean 2005-03-11 14:54:54 UTC
This appears to be fixed. Please verify and reopen if it's still an issue.

Routine bug db maintenance; removing old versions which cause confusion. I apologize for the inconvenience.
