Bugzilla – Bug 6018
After Rhapsody trial account has expired, SqueezeBox looks like it is playing a song.
Last modified: 2008-11-19 16:22:02 UTC
Steps to Reproduce: 1. Get a trial account from Rhapsody. 2. Find a song and add it to the favorites list through SqueezeBox. 3. After the trial account has expired, connect the SqueezeBox to SqueezeNetwork and Rhapsody. 4. The favorite song is still there. 5. Play it. 6. Notice the display shows the song is playing. The progress bar and the timer are all correct. However, there is no sound. Worse, there is no warning or error message. 7. May be this is a Rhasody bug.
Can you tell me which SN account this trial was associated with?
Will review the outstanding SN bugs after 7.0 ships.
QA to see what the current behavior is for playing a Rhapsody-based favorite after the account expires.
I'm going to be rewriting the entire Rhapsody account handling stuff for Devo. I believe trial accounts will continue to work after expiration in Rhapsody 25 mode.
*** Bug 7396 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Andy: Has this been addressed in Devo or should we push it off to Enigma??
This depends on bug 7779 which I hope to do for Devo.
Punting Rhapsody-related Devo bugs. I don't want to risk breaking anything Rhapsody-related now.
After a trial, user can still play as a Rhapsody 25 user now.
