Bugzilla – Bug 5979
Need a "stop" button for scanner
Last modified: 2009-09-08 09:12:30 UTC
I'm sure I remember seeing this discussed before but can't find it, sorry... anyway I'm using SC7 (10-30 nightly) and have successfully pointed the library at a share on another system (actually my production server). Scan started ok, and I'm admiring the nice new progress screen. Only problem - I made a mistake and pointed the library at the wrong folder, its going to take forever. How do I stop it? OK, I guess I could go to task manager and kill the scanner process, but I don't think thats very nice for mr average user who's just made a similar mistake and wants to stop the scan. So how about it? A nice big "Stop scan" button somewhere, perhaps on the progress page?
Won't starting a new rescan do this? If not, it should. Will look at this post 7.0.
Dean, I can't start a new scan from the UI while a scan is in progress. So yes, please I would like a "stop" button! (Just tested on 7.0 - 16329)
