Bugzilla – Bug 5954
Move log.conf to prefs dir
Last modified: 2008-12-18 11:12:53 UTC
log.conf is a configuration file not a log file. It should be moved to the prefs dir.
Michael will fix.
change 14928
I just tested this and it's still saving logging settings to the long.conf file in the logs directory. I even shut down and move log.conf to the prefs folder, but SC created a new long.conf in the logs folder. This is on XP, using the following startup command (prefs and log directories are specified): "C:\Program Files\SlimServer Dot3\server\slimserver.pl" --playeraddr 192.168.9.3 --cliaddr 192.168.9.3 --streamaddr 192.168.9.3 --httpaddr 192.168.9.3 --httpport 80 --prefsdir D:\slim\dot3\prefs --cachedir D:\slim\dot3\cache --logdir D:\Slim\dot3\logs
The logdir directive indeed seems to overwrite the behaviour. Change 14929 relies on prefsdir instead. Could you please test again? Thanks!
That looks good.
