Description Mark Miksis 2007-10-28 12:30:26 UTC
log.conf is a configuration file not a log file. It should be moved to the prefs dir.

Michael will fix.
Comment 2 Michael Herger 2007-11-21 23:32:27 UTC
change 14928
Comment 3 Jim McAtee 2007-11-22 00:09:09 UTC
I just tested this and it's still saving logging settings to the long.conf file in the logs directory. I even shut down and move log.conf to the prefs folder, but SC created a new long.conf in the logs folder.

This is on XP, using the following startup command (prefs and log directories are specified):

"C:\Program Files\SlimServer Dot3\server\slimserver.pl" --playeraddr 192.168.9.3 --cliaddr 192.168.9.3 --streamaddr 192.168.9.3 --httpaddr 192.168.9.3 --httpport 80 --prefsdir D:\slim\dot3\prefs --cachedir D:\slim\dot3\cache --logdir D:\Slim\dot3\logs

The logdir directive indeed seems to overwrite the behaviour. Change 14929 relies on prefsdir instead. Could you please test again? Thanks!
Comment 5 Jim McAtee 2007-11-22 00:50:38 UTC
That looks good.
