Description Ludovic 2007-10-26 10:39:50 UTC
Hello,

I run SC7.0a1 (2007-10-26) on my Synology CS407 NAS with SSODS 3.0 beta2. Everything works fine with SlimServer 6.5.4 but with 7.0a1 it's impossible to scan library : it starts for few seconds and stops. No artist or music is added.

In order to add music I have to go to Menu->My Music-> My directories and add all the files. But even with that no updta could be done.

My directory is :
/volume1/music/lossless
/volume1/music/mp3

Thanks for your help.

Best regards

Ludovic

Please do not preset targets.

There were recent posts about SSODS and scanning, and references to special instructions. Please look those up. Until then, this really isn't a proper bug.

I've been looking for these posts in "bug list" and forums but impossible to find relevant answers.

Still looking :-)

Please use the forums to contact flipflip as he's the author of SSODS and know best what could be wrong.
Comment 4 Ludovic 2007-10-27 00:13:05 UTC
Hello,

I've already contact him. by the way I don't think the problem comes from SSODS because Slimserver 6.5.4 (and especially scanning library) works fine on both SSODS 2.19 or SSODS 3.0 beta2.

I will continue to look for solutions.

Best regards

And what did flipflip say?
Comment 6 KDF 2007-10-30 09:45:38 UTC
need to run with logging for database.info and scan.import set to DEBUG and attach the log. That's the only way anyone can start to sort out what might be stopping the scanner.

Hello,

FlipFlip found the solution yesterday :

"Remove /volume1/SlimServer/CPAN/Compress/Zlib.pm."

Why this file unable the scan of the library I don't know but the removing of this file allow the scan.

Not a SC issue - related to SSODS
