Description Justin Fletcher 2007-10-20 02:48:12 UTC
Play a track on the Jive remote.
Wait for the Now Playing screensaver to kick in.
Press pause on the regular remote.
Notice that the Now Playing screensaver doesn't update to be in paused state (in fact the play icon is still shown in the bottom left - a wider problem than just that screensaver ?)

If you press play on the regular remote the track will continue, but the time on the Jive remote and the track playing will be inconsistent. Eventually it'll reach the end of the bar, show -0:00 left to play and just sit there.

Related is that selecting the Now playing screen saver directly (ie Play on the option in the Controller settings) will synchronise the time immediately, but doesn't notice if the track is still paused, so keeps on counting regardless of the fact that the track is not progressing.

Ben notes this is intermittent and may be a wireless issue

r1321 fully fixes this bug. Now Playing screensaver gets 'live' details and relies on playerstatus notifications to update the window based on changes in mode (play/pause/stop), track change, etc.
