On the Jive remote, firmware r714, go to the Settings menu, then to Alarm Clock.

Observe that the Enabled has a box beside it and so does Fade Alarms In.
None of the other items have tick boxes beside them.
Scroll down one item.
Notice that the Enabled no longer has the option box beside it, but the Set Alarm Time (the 2nd item) does.
Scroll up one item.
Notice that Set Alarm Time still has the option box, and Enabled does not.
Scroll down two items.
Notice that the Set Alarm Time option box vanishes and the Alarm Playlist option box appears.

Scroll around randomly and watch the option box try to follow you.

This doesn't make a whole lot of sense as a user interface :-)

It was repeatable with the earlier firmware as well (can't remember what that was, though).

Not sure that's all that clear, but I hope it helps a little.
