If the player is off, the expanded player panel shows blanks for the currently playing song info (artist, album, bitrate, etc).  The the player panel is collapsed, this shows the song info for the track that was playing.

If the playlist is cleared, the player panel in collapsed mode still shows the track info.

If a different player is chosen, the collapsed player panel still shows information from the previous player (i.e. it is not refreshed).
