Description Justin Fletcher 2007-10-13 12:37:07 UTC
With nightly SlimServer_trunk_v2007-10-12:

1. Go to the home page.

2. Select 'Extras'.

3. Select 'Information browser'.

4. Observe nothing happens.

Check the server log, see :

[20:35:25.5861] Slim::Utils::Misc::msg (1191) Warning: [20:35:25.5852] Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at /home/slim3/SlimServer_trunk_v2007-10-12/Slim/Networking/SimpleAsyncHTTP.pm line 105.
[20:35:25.5899] Slim::Networking::Select::select (245) Error: Select task failed: Assert_Defined failed: Cache::BaseCache line 194

Fault observed when using both Opera and IE.

Working fine here, so lets's try a more informative summary.

Try going into SC Settings->Information Browser first, check that you have the default items loaded into the list.

1. SC settings, select the Extras from the drop down.

2. Information browser, click on the jigsaw, click on the Settings.

3. Observe: 404 Not Found: plugins/InfoBrowser/settings/basic.html

qa to figure out what bug is remaining here after Felix's recent work, if any

I'm not seeing this either, but my default feeds were missing. Resetting via the Settings screens fixed it.

Justin: are you trying this on a recent build?
Comment 5 Justin Fletcher 2007-12-31 03:24:51 UTC
Haven't seen it since, when I've checked.

When I did the original install, I used a nightly build, but now I use the svn version and update regularly - that may be the reason for the discrepency, I guess.

Please reopen if anyone sees this again.
