There's two things I see as being an issue here, and I think both may have been caused by the UI refactoring that Richard did last week.

Radio button is not filled in with whatever player setting is current (e.g., Repeat Playlist)
Iconbar is not updated with correct icon after setting is changed

I'm fairly certain that both of these worked before the refactor, so will defer for comment from Richard for now.

okay, this is weird.

On Jive HW (r682) , the status bar *is* updated immediately when the setting is changed.
When using Jive on the desktop (at same rev), the status bar is not updated.

The other problem (radio button not filling for current setting) exists on both HW and on the desktop.

It also seems to matter whether the player is on or off

on Jive HW,
when player is off, status bar does not update
when player is on, status bar does update

in both cases the desired setting is successful on SC

a fix for Bug #5937 will cause this issue to disappear, as there will be a reduced home menu when the player is off.
