Description James_B 2007-09-30 08:20:31 UTC
SC sometimes does not start properly. Displays a blank on left and an empty now playing field on right. Hitting refresh remedies situation.

I am using XP, FF2 and 30th Sept nightly build SC/SS7. I have an image I will post in the beta forum.

Hmm I will pass the word to the QA team to keep an eye out for this.
Comment 3 Michael Herger 2007-10-08 03:57:21 UTC
Is this while SC is actually running or right after the start? If it's the latter you're probably seeing a stale copy of the SC web page from your browser's cache, as SC hasn't completed its start.

Are you still seeing this issue?

Dean notes he is experiencing this problem.
Comment 8 Michael Herger 2007-11-02 02:44:34 UTC
Change 14315 - load the left hand frame without any JS wizardry; we'd rather see a stale copy taken from the browser's cache than nothing at all.

Please test and tell me if you still see it.

Also if you could tell me _when_ you see this (as asked in comment 3), this would help.
Comment 9 James_B 2007-11-02 04:10:10 UTC
For what it is worth I have not seen this bug in a while - perhaps due to upgrading SC - although my use has been far less intensive than normal. If i see it again I will report. Cheers

I was going to say the same as James B - haven't seen it as much recently.

I haven't had much time to investigate bugs, but will try to look out for this one if it happens again.
Comment 11 Michael Herger 2007-11-05 05:23:56 UTC
We're seeing new issues now. Could you please test again and verify bug 6027?

Comment 14 Michael Herger 2007-11-05 23:12:28 UTC
This is looking good to me. You're not launching it from the desktop icon, are you?
Comment 15 James_B 2007-11-06 00:13:45 UTC
Ah but yes, SC always launched from desktop icon.
Comment 16 Michael Herger 2007-11-08 06:29:07 UTC
Do you still see this issue?
Comment 17 Michael Herger 2007-11-15 06:18:59 UTC
Lack of negative reports in a week I consider this fixed. Feel free to re-open if needed.
