Description Peter Oliver 2007-09-30 06:58:37 UTC
Directory /var/log/slimserver is not created by SlimServer_trunk_v2007-09-30.noarch.rpm. As a result, no logs are made unless the user manually creates this directory and makes it writable by slimserver.
Comment 1 KDF 2007-09-30 13:15:50 UTC
this is odd, as the rpm script has had the command to create /var/log/slimserver since change 10437.
There is also a yum install for fedora. have you considered using that as it is deigned more specifically for fedora?

Fletch, can you check this out?
Comment 3 Mark Miksis 2007-11-21 10:00:14 UTC
This bug does not exist in the squeezecenter RPM. I haven't looked at also fixing it in the slimserver 7.0 RPM because I'm hoping that will soon be obsolete. It should be simple enough to do so if you want me to...

Yeah we would like to use your RPM for 7.0, I believe Matt Wise was going to get in touch with you about this.
Comment 5 Mark Miksis 2007-11-21 15:38:26 UTC
Yes, Matt and I are in contact.

This is fixed in the new SqueezeCenter RPM. Please see http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=41217 and http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.cgi?SqueezeCenterRPM for more information. Marking as FIXED.
