Description KDF 2007-09-29 15:15:50 UTC
for some reason, the exbrowse3 redirect to Default no longer works if you use the url override.
ExBrowse3 hasn't worked in a very long time. It really should be removed. Rather do it sooner than later, to be honest.
Comment 1 KDF 2007-09-29 15:31:59 UTC
right, I forgot Jacob promised to work on it again if it was reenabled while 7.0 was still pre-alpha. disabling again asap. disabled in change 5618

We should probably look at removing non-maintained skins:
ExBrowse3 is totally non-working and I see no sign of activity forthcoming (not to mention the toolkits that go with it, also unused and taking up space/bandwidth)

These are also in various rough states...but mostly working.
NBMU?
Moser?
Bagpuss?
Purple?
Dark?

Dean and/or Andy please give us a ruling on this. It sounds very reasonable to me to remove these skins.
Comment 4 Blackketter Dean 2007-10-04 10:09:58 UTC
Yes, please remove these unmaintained skins.
Comment 5 KDF 2007-10-04 15:07:21 UTC
Bagpuss, Dark, ExBrowse3, Moser, NBMU, Purple removed from trunk at change 13554. They are not set up to be removed from server updates (yet), but new users will no longer be exposed to potentially broken skins.

There is still 62k of javascript tools contained in EN/html that may not be getting used now that ExBrowse3 is gone. There is also the 14k RPC Plugin (haven't measure it's space in memory) that is also likely no longer used.

Change 13722 - removed the Jason's JS toolkits and that Volum Java applet
