Description Blackketter Dean 2003-12-19 21:34:05 UTC
I'd enjoy being able to search artist, album, and song
title all at the same time. I only have about 6,000 tracks
on disk and when I want to find something it wouldn't
hurt to find a results list with sections listing "Artist
Matching", "Songs Matching", and "Albums Matching"

I think that this is a good idea.

Search:
Album
Artist
Song Title
Everything

oh, I read this initially as if the request was to have a single keyword return
a set of search result for each type, organised with subheaders. Perhaps an
'advanced search' form is the right way to go. the bugzilla search is an
example. one field can be a keyword, then we can have a checkbox for all tags
to check, pulldowns for 'contains', 'begins with', 'whole word'. We could even
have several keywords, with selection of or/and for each.the result of the form
sends a complex query. Would that cause too many joins?

We now have multi-search and advanced search!
