Description ndijulio 2007-09-26 18:27:46 UTC
When the screensaver for Flickr has a network problem/error the Popup Alert notification is inconsistent with the rest of the UI.

New Artwork needs to be created for this case.

Please attach artwork, noah!
Comment 2 Blackketter Dean 2007-12-27 09:33:18 UTC
No error screen is displayed anymore, as far as I can tell. The screen just goes black.

This is probably sufficient for 7.0. Will review post release.
Comment 3 Richard Titmuss 2008-07-24 04:32:19 UTC
This won't make 7.2.
Comment 4 Blackketter Dean 2008-11-17 07:27:48 UTC
Ping, Noah, these bugs are assigned to you for 7.3/Falco
Comment 5 ndijulio 2008-11-17 09:40:33 UTC
Is the error a connection failure or something to do with Flickr?

Address with new and improved photo applet for 8.0.

Moving to the product SqueezePlay because this bug appears to apply to any player based on that application code. Feel free to move it back if it's specific to the single original product.

Reset priority before triage.

Matt, based our conversation it might make sense to make this a loading template for all current and developing apps.

Basic splash screen approach:

1. Default black background (similar to interstitial screens)

2. Color app icon (centered)
-default to nothing if no icon available

3. Supporting text at bottom describing what is happening (loading...)

Exactly. There might be some unforeseen cases where we need more text, in which case we can have lines both on the top and bottom. But I don't think this is needed at this time...

this is an administrative shuffle on priority fields to help make better judgment on the top end of the priority list. P4->P5, P3->P4, and P2->P3.

Flickr's been reimplemented, so this bug is no longer applicable.
